Other Important Information: Please be on time for your program. Your children should dress appropriately for the weather and for exploring outside. Everyone should wear clothing that will keep them warm, dry, and comfortable. This should include sturdy footwear (no sandals please).

It’s important that you explain to your children that Kettle Creek is a Sanctuary, not a zoo; it’s a place where all things, both living and non-living, are protected in their natural habitats, not behind bars or in special buildings. The native animals are secretive and will stay away from noisy groups. Share with your children the fact that if they stay relatively quiet they may see some of the following animals; turkeys, hawks, rabbits, chipmunks, squirrels, moles, snakes, fish, turtles, deer, salamanders or bear! However, we allow no collecting, only memories.
