Tannersville Cranberry Bog Tours

The Nature Conservancy manages the preserve with the volunteer assistance of a local Stewardship Committee and the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center. The North Wood Trail and the Fern ridge Trail in the upland woods are open to the public for self-guided walks. Because of its fragile nature, the bog can only be visited during regularly scheduled walks conducted by the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center. Private walks are also available to groups upon request. Cost for public walks is $6 per person.  Please note that pets are not allowed on bog trails.

Gift Shop

Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center operates a small gift shop with various nature-oriented items, including:

• Books for children and adults, including Peterson and Audubon Field Guides 

• A wide selection of bird feeders

• Bird Seed (All Natural Aspen Song Wild Bird Food)

• Magnifying lenses and bug boxes

• Kettle Creek EE Center apparel

• Wildlife puppets and stuffed animals

• Wildlife posters

• Various small items for children

The gift shop is open during normal EE Center hours. All proceeds benefit the Kettle Creek environmental education programs. 

Lilliana's Nature Discovery Area

A Nature Discovery Area is a designated outdoor area designed to allow children of all ages to have a safe, fun and natural area to explore. There are several elements to the area including a canoe, tunnel, xylophone, talking tubes and much more. Lilliana's Nature Discovery Area at Kettle Creek is the first of its kind in Monroe County and is open to everyone year-round to discover nature.
