The Tannersville Cranberry Bog is a very special place which contains many unique plants and animals. Please join us for a whole day of events, there is no charge.
Research to Manage Rare Species---10:00 am-12:00pm This walk led by long-time Preserve committee member Ray Milewski will focus on the work done to encourage the growth of rare species in the bog. Several management plots have been cleared of woody vegetation and the results are starting to show. Ray will discuss the project and share some of the findings as we visit the plots.
Boardwalk Walks: 10:30am-12:30pm and 1:30-3:30pm Join us for a two-hour walk on the floating boardwalk through the Bog. Join the Bog Stewardship volunteers for this October view of the bog in its entire autumn splendor.
All walks meet at the Bog parking lot on Cherry Lane Road, 1.9 miles from the Tannersville Inn on Rte. 611
