Bugfest Art Contest

All young artists and nature lovers are invited to participate in the first ever Kettle Creek Bugfest Art Contest.  This year’s theme is “Bugs are Beautiful.”  Artwork should reflect the natural beauty of all insects (not just the butterflies!)

• All ages welcome.  Winners will be chosen from four age groups: 0-5 years, 6-8 years, 9-12 years, and 13-18.
• Artwork must be dropped off to the Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center by Friday, June 10th, 2022.
• All artwork will be displayed in the Gallery at Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center from July 1st through July 29th as well as in a virtual gallery on our website.
• Include a name for the artwork (for example “Splendid Spiders”), the name and age of the artist and contact information for notifying winners.
• Prizes will be awarded at our annual Bugfest event on Saturday, July 9th.
•  Artwork must be flat – no 3-D objects.
•  Judging will be based on relation to the theme, visual effectiveness,  originality and appeal.
