Supplemental Programs for Schools

The Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center (KCEEC) has been working with students in Monroe County school districts for many years and during this COVID-19 pandemic we would like to offer our assistance as well as different environmental programs during the 2020-2021 school year.  We realize this is a new situation for everyone and we are here to help both teachers and students enrich their educational experience while still adhering to all health and safety guidelines.

We have designed a series of program offerings that can be adapted to any grade level and teaching circumstance.    Many classes from Monroe County schools would normally be involved with KCEEC both in the classroom and on outdoor field trips to one or more of our sites.  The "menu" of programs can continue that process as well as provide any teacher or class at any grade level the ability to tap into the resources and trained staff at Kettle Creek to teach environmental lessons.

We have been able to secure outside funding so there is no cost for any of these programs during the 2020-2021 school year. We are open to ideas and suggestions and are willing to design a program that fits into your schedule and the needs of your students. Please feel free to contact us at 570-629-3061 or rsmccd@ptd.net for scheduling or questions. We look forward to continuing to provide Environmental Educational programming for students throughout Monroe County.
