Tannersville Cranberry Bog

Explore the Bog under the light of a full moon! Please wear appropriate footwear. Participants should bring a flashlight. You will be walking in the woods and on a wooden boardwalk, for approximately one mile total.

About the event

Spend an evening journeying through the bog at golden hour. Please wear appropriate footwear. Tour is approximately one mile of walking through a wooded area and on the boardwalk.  

Join us at the Bog parking lot and take a guided journey into the unique Tannersville Bog. Along the way, our environmental educators will explain the Bog's formation, its interesting plant and animal life and the role the Nature Conservancy play in its continued protection. Please wear closed-toed shoes. Tour is approximately one mile of walking through a wooded area and on the boardwalk.

Please note that this is a separate location from Kettle Creek Environmental Education Center. A guide will meet you in the parking lot prior to the bog walk. The only facilities available at this location are a porta-potty in the parking lot. Gates to parking lot may be locked if you arrive more than 15 minutes prior…
